![]() ![]() I do like the lighter shade for highlighting & sometimes mix the two since I like to conceal with a more neutral tone under my eyes. 370 W matches my skin tone pretty well & is perfect for any blemishes. I picked up 310 C, 370 W, 415 W, peach cc & orange/red cc. There's a shade for those with neutral, warm and cool undertones. If you're skin type is oily, I would definitely recommend setting it.Īs far as shades go, there seems to be a good range of color for just about everyone. ![]() I personally liked wearing it with a setting powder. I think when they say, "natural-looking matte" they really mean, semi-matte. I wore the products with and without a setting powder, just to see how well the natural-looking matte finish held up. I definitely recommend prepping/priming any areas on your face prior to wearing this concealer. I did notice the concealer didn't sit as smoothly without my hydrating eye cream. I wore the products with and without an eye cream. When this happens I usually just take a q-tip and blend it out. I did find this to crease a bit where my skin folds right under the eye, but that tends to happen when I wear any type of makeup in that area. I would say in the 6 hours, it did not move or separate. Note - I did only wear the products for about 6 hours (max), each day so I can't speak for an all day (more than 6 hr) wear. I personally found all the claims to be true: ultra-pigmented, full-coverage, long-wearing & weightless. After I apply the product onto my skin I wait a few seconds and blend it out more with a damp beauty blender. If you don't like working with the back of your hand to warm up the product, I would recommend using a flat steel mixing palette. With that said, I definitely prefer using my fingers rather than a brush. This product works best when it is warmed up prior to application. The consistency is a bit thick and tacky, similar to the It Cosmetics bye bye under eye concealer. I have tried all 3 forms of application - concealer brush, beauty blender & fingers. With this formula, a little goes a long way. They recommend using a pea-size but honestly, I'd start off with about half a pea-size. It is no joke that "one drop" is all it takes. ![]() The concealer was mainly used under my eyes & I have to say it's coverage is quite amazing. ![]() However, if I want more coverage I will use my foundation brush by MAC (I'll link both of these tools below).I used the corrector under my eyes & some areas where I have some discoloration. With both of these foundations I typically use my Beauty Blender to apply on an everyday basis because it gives it a smooth flawless finish. Unfortunately, the Revlon does not have the shade range like Lancome, so that would be my only con. I use the shade Caramel (400) and just like the Lancome it's a perfect match. Like I said earlier, I do tend to get oily in my t-zone, but with this foundation it's not excessive and just a little blot and I'm right back to normal. This foundation is also medium to full coverage, easy to apply, and oil-free. So if you're looking for an alternative to the Lancome, I think this is perfect, and at $9 (Target) it is much more affordable than the Lancome which is $47 (Sephora). I decided to put this foundation in the same post as the Lancome because the Lancome reminds me so much of the Colorstay. I think everyone who knows me will say I've suggested this foundation at least once to them, I love it that much! Dare I say it's my holy grail foundation?! It's my favorite drugstore foundation and even one I reach for often instead of my higher end foundations. I've used this foundation for years and it's one I always come back to over and over again. The next foundation I wanted to talk about is the Revlon Colorstay. I would definitely recommend this foundation if you're on the hunt for something new! It doesn't feel heavy when it's on either. It's not cakey nor does it separate around my nose or my chin. I do have combination skin (oily in the t-zone) and do have to blot later in the day but not nearly as much as I do with many other foundations. I'm not sure how legit the 24 hour claims are because I don't ever keep foundation on that long, but for a normal day it does great. I found the foundation to be easy to work with and the coverage buildable. I purchased the the shade 460 which has a warm/yellow undertone, and it matches perfectly. The shade range is great with 40 to choose from. Ok so on to the foundation! Lancome boasts this foundation to be an oil-free, long wearing liquid foundation with medium to full matte coverage, and should last for up to 24 hours. I love trying new foundations, I'm always on the hunt for something "better" in the foundation department. A few weeks ago I shared on my Instagram about how much I was loving the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation. ![]()
